Nuclear and Natural Disasters

Hurricanes Harvey and Irma dramatized our aging nuclear infrastructure's vulnerability to nature's fury.

Flooding represents one of the most urgent risk to nuclear sites across the world as storm surges risk prolonged power outages and spread radioactive contamination as water circulates across radioactive sites.

Most all nuclear power plants (excepting a few, such as Arizona's Palo Verde plant) are located near ocean coasts, seas, and rivers.

Climate change models that posit rising sea levels present a CLARION CALL to shutdown and de-commission plants and nuclear sites to prevent further radioactive contamination of water on Earth.

Nuclear is inefficient, costly beyond calculation when entire supply chain (including decommissioning) is examined, and dangerous beyond "normal" science's imagination.
